Hello! My name is Angel Guillen, and I'm here to tell you about my Arrupe College experience.

How I chose my degree:
I chose my degree because I know there is strong earning potential in this industry. With it, I’ll be able to support my current and future family, and help bridge the gap between minorities and professional careers in the U.S.

My plans after graduation:
I will be continuing at Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business.

What class did you never expect to love? What was great about it?
I never expected to love Math. The main reason is that I always found it to be difficult to understand, averaging a C in all of middle school and high school. It was great because it made me find a new profound love and enjoyment in doing mathematics because of the great math professors who make it fun and easy to understand. This was an important step in my employment as a math fellow and my future endeavors in business.

Where is your favorite place on Loyola's campus and why?
My favorite place on Loyola's water tower campus is Maguire Hall. Specifically, the Wintrust student commons, which has been a place where I have made new friends and networked with professors and professionals, creating connections and opportunities for my future.

What are some surprisingly cool things about Arrupe?
The history of Arrupe is super interesting and is something that more students should have the opportunity to learn about. I really connected with the Jesuit values and history of the school through the Ignatian seminar in Rome.
